The Sooke Electoral Area Parks And Recreation Commission (SEAPARC)
is actively involved providing recreational and leisure opportunities
within the community. The combined pool and arena leisure complex

Sooke SK8 Park
The skate park in Sooke is located in front of Journey Middle
School on Throup Road.
It is an un-supervised playground for all ages for skateboarding,
roller blading and wheel jumping

There are two public tennis courts in Sooke on Throup
Road, just to the west of the ball fields

There are two ball parks on Throup Road, just across
the street from Journey Middle School. This diamond faces east.

Lion's Playground on Murray Road
Although the playground equipment has been removed,
the un supervised vacant lot is on Murray Road just a few steps
from the streetlight at Sooke Road and Otter Point Rd.
There is a parking lot just down the road toward the water on
Murray and Horne Rd.The waterfront trail at the end of the road

Formally known as "Harbour Park", this park on West
Coast Road is connected by a waterfront trail to Murray Road

Logging Sports
The art of logging sports is alive and well in Sooke,
BC.
When the Sooke Community Association announced that the famous
All Sooke Day Logging Sports event would not be held anymore,
there was an outcry from the community.
In response to the demand to bring back some of
the excitement and fun of this long running event, the Sooke Canada
Day Society hosts a mini logging demonstration at Canada Day July

Government Wharf
The wharf is at the foot of Maple Rd, just past
the streetlight where Sooke Road turns into West Coast Road. Many
people fish and crab from the wharf. Boat moorage can also be
obtained.
